It All Started with a Story
Katie and Fernando were first introduced on a little app called Hinge. Katie saw they had a ton of mutual friends in common so she asked her friend Becky for the scoop on him. Luckily for Fernando, Becky gave him the stamp of approval and so they meet up for their first date on Memorial Day Weekend of 2021. They had a blast that first night drinking and dancing the night away in PB. When they met up for the second time, that's when the sparks really started to fly, they were inseparable all night (ask any one of our friends that were there that night, they could probably tell you a good story lol). That's when they knew there was something special about each other.
During that first year, they enjoyed creating a lot of amazing memories, traveling, going to concerts, random adventures, and meeting each other's families…their lives just effortlessly started to fit together.
Fast forward to Oct 1st, 2022, Fernando planned a surprise weekend to 'celebrate' graduating from COA (Engineer training) but little did Katie know it was to celebrate one of the happiest moments of their life. In their true adventurous fashion, Fernando proposed to Katie thousands of feet in the sky in a hot air balloon and then planned a surprise engagement party with all of their close friends and family. It was an incredible way to start their journey to becoming husband and wife.
