Wish Upon A Wedding Linda & Gabe, Carlsbad, CA

Honestly there aren't enough words to describe how much this wedding meant to myself and how much I admire this couple. Linda and Gabe I would personally like to say, you are the strongest couple I have ever met and I wish you a life time of love, health, happiness and love.

Being asked to work with Wish Upon A Wedding last year was something that was very near and dear to my heart. As some of you may know, I lost my father last year to cancer #FUCKCANCER and it was one of the hardest things I have yet to encounter in my 27 years. It is heart wrenching to watch the strongest person you know become so weak from this crippling disease. Right before my fathers illness progressed I was offered the opportunity to work with WUAW. I really feel all things happen for a reason. While in the process of coping with the loss of my father I was beyond blessed to be introduced to an amazing couple, Linda and Gabe. I jumped at the opportunity to create a wedding for them that would be beyond memorable and exactly all they could of ever wished for. To say they have been put through the ringer would be an understatement. Here is a little bit of their love story and life together thus far, this is what true love looks like...

If you aren't already familiar the organization Wish Upon A Wedding then I would love to tell you a bit about their mission.

"Wish Upon a Wedding has helped over 120 couples say “I Do” since its launch in January 2010.At Wish Upon a wedding, we believe that two people in love should never be denied the chance to marry their soul mate, and Wish Upon a Wedding provides this opportunity to those who have endured far greater challenges than many of us could possibly imagine.In 2009, founder, Liz Guthrie, was producing a large scale wedding giveaway in San Francisco, she realized that there are so many couples in need, and so many generous business owners offering to donate their time and services to a deserving couple. She found herself wishing there was a way to donate dream weddings to couples across the country. Out of the 350 couples that entered the giveaway, one bride-to-be stood out in her mind.Vanessa was battling Stage IV Hodgkin’s Lymphoma while her fiancé, an officer in the US Air Force, was deployed overseas. This couple won the Giveaway through public voting, and it was their Love Story that ultimately inspired the creation of Wish Upon a Wedding. Liz felt that there was so many other couples that deserved a day away from their illness. She created Wish Upon a Wedding with this in mind and to this day Wish Upon a Wedding has granted just over 118 wedding wishes.Wish Upon a Wedding allows countless of other wedding and hospitality professionals, to help people celebrate love, while encouraging those in the event planning industries to give selflessly to others."

... With that being said I obviously could not pass up the opportunity to create a memorable night for these two special people that were newly introduced into my life. After what we have all been through, I felt we were meant to work together, we had such a connection they were truly a Simply Classic Couple that I will forever love and consider family.

How breathtaking is this Vera Wang gown , it was everything a girl could dream of and the pampering doesn't stop there, she was also made these stunning custom strappy beauties to match for her wedding day! Cinderella Status, am I right?!!

The smile on his face says it all, Gabe was beyond excited to see his beautiful bride for the first time. We are huge supports of a first look at Simply Classic Events!

Kylie Hughes blessed us with her angelic voice during the ceremony, She also sung there first dance song, it was magical!

The sky says it all, it was a perfect night to remember!
