You never know when you’re going to meet your person, the one you vow to be with forever. For us, it was your typical Saturday night out with friends. Michelle up from Vermont for the weekend, visiting her friend Clara, while Parris was out with Antonio and the boys. Walking into the club, Storyville, neither of us thought it would be the start of “Our Story”. Naturally, we both tell the night our story began a little differently. From Parris’s perspective, Michelle was staring at him all night. Michelle prefers to say he quickly caught her eye. As their paths crossed, or maybe Michelle walked up to him, they chatted throughout the night. Getting to know each other in a loud dark club is no easy task, but there was something about Michelle that stood out to Parris. As the night ended, they exchanged numbers and the conversation immediately continued. Parris, being the gentlemen he is, quickly asked to take Michelle on a proper date. Although Michelle was flattered, she didn’t see the realistic side of dating a guy from Boston, while living hours away in Vermont. Parris didn’t care, after asking a couple times, he then insisted Michelle came back to Boston, saying “I made a reservation at the nicest place in Boston at 8pm, wear something nice. It will be worth it, I promise”. It was that confidence and determination that got Michelle to drive to Boston on a Tuesday night, of all nights. It was the Top of the Hub in 2018, that locked it in. It didn’t matter how far the drive to see each other from that night on was, it would always be worth it. That’s how the “Girl from Vermont” and the “Guy from Boston” found their soulmates, the rest is history
